Bekah spent most of her young life living in Guangzhou, China.  Her family would foster Chinese newborns with physical and mental disabilities.  Bekah developed a love for nurturing these babies and, after graduating from high school, sought out midwifery training and education.​

In 2014, she volunteered at a maternity clinic in the Philippines for two and a half years where she gained tremendous experience in maternal and newborn care while completing her training in an accelerated program.

From there, she moved back to the US after thirteen years overseas.  She completed an internship at a high volume midwifery practice in Arlington, WA.  Following this, she moved to Oceanside, CA where she worked by the beach preparing for the NARM exam to become a Certified Professional Midwife.  There, she met her husband, Daniel. ​

Bekah received her CPM through the North American Registry of Midwives, followed by her California Midwife License through the Medical Board of California.  She and Daniel then moved to Los Angeles to pursue the things they love. 

 

In February of 2023, Bekah had her own out-of-hospital birth, welcoming her daughter Audrey into the world.

 

 

"It was an enlightening experience, to say the least, to switch roles from midwife to mother and surrender to the all-encompassing hurricane that is birth.

It was empowering, humbling, life-changing.

My hope is to provide other women with the tools and resources they need to have their own empowered pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences. There is such a huge need for support in this field, and I am honored to play a part."
