Meet The Midwife

Bekah’s journey into midwifery began early. Growing up in Guangzhou, China, her family fostered newborns with physical and developmental disabilities. It was there that Bekah’s love for nurturing took root, inspiring her to pursue midwifery training after high school.

In 2014, she volunteered at a maternity clinic in the Philippines for two and a half years, completing an accelerated program and gaining hands-on experience in maternal and newborn care. Her time there laid a strong foundation for the compassionate approach she brings to every family she serves.

After thirteen years overseas, Bekah returned to the U.S. and completed an internship at a high-volume midwifery practice in Arlington, WA. She then moved to Oceanside, CA, where she prepared for the NARM exam and met her husband, Daniel. Bekah went on to receive her Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credential through the North American Registry of Midwives and her California Midwife License through the Medical Board of California. Together, she and Daniel eventually settled in Los Angeles to pursue the life they envisioned.

In February 2023, Bekah gave birth to her daughter Audrey in an out-of-hospital setting—an experience that deepened her understanding of the transformative journey of birth:

“It was an enlightening experience, to say the least, to switch roles from midwife to mother and surrender to the all-encompassing hurricane that is birth. It was empowering, humbling, life-changing. My hope is to provide other women with the tools and resources they need to have their own empowered pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences. There is such a huge need for support in this field, and I am honored to play a part.”
